About the Author

Linda Smith RN, MS, HNC, CHTP/I, CCA is the creator and director of the Institute of Spiritual Healing & Aromatherapy and teaches nationally and internationally in both the Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry program and in the Certification in Clinical Aromatherapy program. Her vision is to bring hands-on healing back into our Christian communities. She delights in seeing the light go on in people's eyes as they remember at some deep level that they are loved, that God means for them to be healed and that they in turn can help others move toward healing. She has spent most of her life in church work as a nurse and teacher. Her health care background includes critical care nursing, nursing education, and home health and hospice care; her specialty is in compassionate care of the dying. She is certified in Holistic Nursing, Healing Touch and Clinical Aromatherapy. Presently she has a private practice in Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry and aromatherapy in the Denver Colorado area. In 1992, Linda was selected Holistic Nurse of the Year by the American Holistic Nurses Association for the outstanding example she presents in the healing arts. Over the past 15 years, she has taught nearly 500 workshops on healing. As a nurse-healer, teacher, mentor, and spiritual advisor, she has inspired many with her passion to restore healing to our Christian churches and ministries. Linda is also the author of Called into Healing, Reclaiming our Judeo-Christian Legacy of Healing Touch 2nd Revised Ed., (2006), and Essential Oils for Physical, Emotional and Spiritual Health, (2005).
