"You can't hit what you don't swing at"  I felt compelled to share our story so an experience like ours could never happen to another person in any hospital in this country.  Little did I know it would turn into a 24/7 crusade that consumed my life for years.  I met dozens of citizens like myself, I discovered there were countless organizations and corporations, worldwide, from healthcare-related industries to automotive manufacturers all working hard trying to turn the United States healthcare ship around.  It's so big, you almost can't see it.  Our story was reported by multiple news outlets, I was a featured speaker at a number of venues relating to healthcare, ultimately we were included in a documentary.  108 Days was immortalized in a mural on public display in Washington DC!The more I learned, the less I wanted to know.  It's overwhelming.I am hopeful this enormous challenge succeeds in my lifetime.I am now happily at work on my second book.  Thank you for your interest, I hope you enjoy 108 Days.-LL
