Claire H. ROSSI, BA, RDA, RYAN, RDAEF has a Registered Dental Auxiliary in Extended Functions (RDAEF) license, has taught dental assistants and x-ray with a Ryan Designated Subject Credential, a BA degree from the University of San Francisco. Claire continues to smile and enjoy practice encompassing many years of dentistry. Claire and Hazel Torres were published in the 75th Anniversary issue, Journal of The American Dental Assistants Association. Claire has helped in the development of three dental instruments for the purpose of improving and continuing our dental education. Hazel O. TORRES, MA Education, CDA, RDA, RDAEF, has been an educator and founded and directed two accredited dental assisting programs in California at community colleges. She served nine years on the Board of Dentistry in California and was the first RDA to do so. She was president of ADAA in 1976, and has co-authored numerous text books including Essentials of the Dental Assistant and the many editions of Modern Dental Assisting (MDA). David FIERSTEIN, Illustrator, Graphic Design, Editor, has a BA in Chemistry from UC Santa Cruz, and completed the graduate program in Science Illustration at UCSC. David works as a freelance illustrator for clients such as Scientific American Magazine, National Geographic, and the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute.
