About the Author:
Ben Atkins was born in New York City and raised in Freehold, N.J. and West Harford, Ct. Ben earned an undergraduate degree and a master's degree in gerontology from the University of South Florida. He currently resides in Tampa with his wife and children. The inspiration for the children's book came from Ben's experience playing pickup hockey with a man who had a prosthetic leg. Ben dedicates this book to his mother Barbara who is a published author and all the children who endure and triumph over their handicaps.
