About the Author

Raymond M. Bergner, Ph.D., is a professor of psychology at Illinois State University, and a psychotherapist with over 30 years experience in private practice. He is the author of two previous books and numerous articles in journals including Psychotherapy, American Journal of Psychotherapy, and The Journal of Sex and Marriage Therapy. He is a founding member and past president of the Society for Descriptive Psychology, and co-editor of Advances in Descriptive Psychology Volumes 3, 6, 7, 8, and 9.
