About the Author

Essay Architect is written by author Kristen Bowers, known best for her Literature Guides for Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Macbeth, Of Mice and Men, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby, and many more, also published by Secondary Solutions. A high school teacher herself, Bowers has now tackled teaching the skill of writing with her Essay Architect writing system. As Bowers taught her students to write essays, she used many different systems--none of which were successful with her students. These methods were either far too complicated and contrived, or were far too juvenile and easy, which insulted her high school students. Out of necessity, Bowers created the Essay Architect and its prequel Essay Apprentice writing system, and has seen so much improvement from her own students, she decided to have it published to share with other teachers who are frustrated with the other writing systems that have been available. Essay Architect does what teachers have been looking for--allows students to prepare, practice, perform, and polish their essays to perfection!
