About the Author

Scott Rogers received his master’s degree in social psychology and his law degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. He has enjoyed a lifelong interest in mindfulness and the ways in which the mind and body move toward and retreat from present-moment awareness. In 1991 he began his formal training in meditation, and now works with people interested in learning how to meditate and become more mindful. Rogers is one of the leaders of the Miami Beach Sangha, a mindfulness-based meditation group.The website also publishes verses contributed by parents and child-care givers from around the world. In 2005 he produced Child is the Cosmos, a CD containing mindful-parenting meditations and visualizations, and he is currently working on a second CD, An Introduction to the Joys of Mindful Parenting, to be released in the summer of 2006. He lives in Miami Beach, Florida, with his wife, Pam, and two daughters, Millie and Rose.
