Synopsis

A mind that is still is indeed a rarity in today's world. We are constantly multi-tasking as we are pushed harder and harder to get more done in less time. Having an agitated and over-stimulated mind, though stressful and tiring, has grown to feel normal because we have either forgotten or never learned how to experience anything else. Meditation quiets the mind. It brings stillness into a world of constant motion and noise, offering inner peace and self-awareness. It brings focus into all of your activities, yet it costs nothing more than your self-effort and a small slice of your day. Though meditation is a term most people have heard of, too few have any real understanding of what it is, what it offers, and where to start if you want to learn more about it. Mountain Sage Publishing and Thomas Sterner have created this 2-CD set for just that purpose. Here you will get an overview of what meditation is and how, in a very short time, you can begin to enjoy the benefits of its presence in your daily routine. This program is self-paced and self-timed, helping you to learn how to meditate, and more easily make meditation a part of your day. You can meditate for ten minutes, twenty minutes, or longer and know exactly how much time has passed. You will find this method both practical and easy to stay with. Join Mountain Sage Publishing and Thomas Sterner on a journey of self-discovery that will last a lifetime and beyond. And now, the wisdom of both The Meditating Mind and The Practicing Mind are available in the special discounted package: The Total Mindset.

About the Author

Through the years, Thomas M. Sterner has researched both Eastern thought and modern sports psychology in order to cultivate his awareness of the value of a still and quiet mind. To this end, he has studied different forms of meditation for over 30 years in both a group setting and one-on-one with private instructors. Meditation has been part of his life's quest for a more thorough understanding of the mind/body connection and how to be more in control of that connection. Through his daily practice of meditation, he has not only experienced inner peace, but also a more focused mind in all of his activities.
