About the Author:
Adam Ding, M.Sc., PQS, GSC, PMP, CC, LEED AP (BD+C), is a professional estimator with extensive experience in a variety of commercial, institutional, industrial, residential, heavy/civil, and sustainable infrastructure projects. He holds a master's degree in building construction from Auburn University, a professional quantity surveying diploma from the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, a project management professional certificate from the Project Management Institute, a gold seal certificate in estimating from the Canadian Construction Association, a competent communicator certificate from Toastmaster International, and a LEED accredited professional certificate from the Green Building Certification Institute. Adam has enjoyed a successful career estimating projects of varied sizes, ranging from large-scale cost planning to detailed trade take-off. Having bid countless construction projects, he developed a unique and easy-to-understand estimating approach. He has also taught classes at Auburn University and owns the copyrights for a number of spreadsheet estimating programs. Adam currently teaches in the construction management degree program at Red River College. He is a regular contributor to Construction Economist journal, introducing the latest estimating technologies and techniques.
