Synopsis
A Conversar! is an innovative, four-level Spanish conversation course that incorporates cooperative learning, role-playing, storytelling, and cross-cultural discussions to promote an interactive, student-centered learning experience. While grammar is introduced slowly over the four levels, the focus is on getting students to speak, NOT memorizing rules. Each level consists of approximately 16 hours of experiential classroom time and has an accompanying Instructor's Guide detailing the various exercises, activities, and TPRS stories. The A Conversar! 2 beginning Spanish course has been designed specifically for the adult learner who has taken a basic Spanish class in the past and wishes to improve conversational skills. Level 2 covers a brief review of Level 1, stresses conversational fluency in real-life situations, and includes an introduction to different verb tenses. About the Author
Tara Bradley Williams, co-Founder of Pronto Spanish, is the instructional designer for all of the Pronto Spanish online occupational Spanish courses and has authored the Pronto Guides, A Trabajar! and A Conversar! Series. Tara has 15+ years of Spanish teaching experience at the high school, community college, and corporate training levels. She has also authored and facilitated three online Spanish courses, which are now in more than 2500 schools. Tara has a BA degree in Spanish and Sociology from St. Norbert College and a MA in Higher Education and Adult Studies from the University of Denver. She has studied Spanish at the Universidad de Ortega y Gasset, in Toledo, Spain and has lived and traveled extensively in Spain and Latin America.
