Synopsis

The emerging quantum model presents a compelling picture of the structure and operation of the universe that is startlingly different, and often at odds with the image presented by Western theology. As quantum and demonstrdiscoveries move us into the most dynamic, and inevitable, paradigm shift experienced by humanity, we cannot avoid asking if spiritual seekers will feel obliged to abandon the wisdom of Jesus? Or, is it possible that Jesus' words can be understood more completely in light of these discoveries? Can quantum physics tell us anything new about Jesus or shed light on what he was really trying to teach his followers. Can it aid us in answering the age old questions of who and what we, God and the universe actually are? Can it give us a new understanding of our purpose in life? Quantum Prodigal Son revisits Jesus' beloved 'Parable of the Prodigal Son' from the perspective of quantum physics, Gnostic gospels and the Bible. Written in a straightforward manner that requires no previous scientific or religious knowledge, Quantum Prodigal Son invites you to meet the Jesus you may have never known existed, a Jesus who understood, and applied, the principles of quantum mechanics in his life and teachings and demonstrates how you can do the same.

About the Author

Brought up in fundamentalist Christianity, Lee and Steven spent most of the first twenty years of their marriage as dedicated Christian teachers. While they found that serving others was the most satisfying aspect of their lives, they were constantly disappointed that their faith did not result in the deep and sustaining peace and joy they believed it should and did not offer satisfying answers to their questions about God. Eventually their continued questioning resulted in excommunication and the loss of friends and family. Severe illness, family problems and their seeming failure to find God led them to make a suicide pact, but before carrying it out, they decided to give God one last chance. They prayed that they were willing to surrender all personal preferences and preconceived ideas and accept any message, as long as God would show them He exists and cares for us. Within days the answers began to appear, but from the most unlikely source: quantum physics. Their thinking was turned upside down, but in the process their questions were answered and their lives were changed in a wholly positive way. Their new perspective played a large role in their overcoming multiple sclerosis, lupus, a massive brain hemorrhage, severe sleep apnea and relentless clinical depression. While that may appear to be quite dramatic in itself, they feel that this is a mere side benefit next to the peace and joy they have found. Quantum Prodigal Son is the result of their desire to share this peace and joy.
