Ed Tandy McGlasson, a former lineman in the National Football League with the Los Angeles Rams, New York Giants and New York Jets, pastors the Stadium Vineyard in Anaheim, Calif. After getting healed by a knee injury that led to his conversion, Ed eventually entered the ministry after another knee injury ended his NFL career. He has spoken a numerous conferences across the country and around the world. Ed and his wife, Jill, live in Anaheim with their five children.

McGlasson, formerly an NFL football player, has been a church pastor for over two decades. Here he expounds upon his life as a father and his experiences with his own stepfather, who was instrumental in his becoming a football player. However, Mark Synnestvedt's voice does not convey the literal weight of a 250-pound lineman, even though he reads quickly and clearly. McGlasson tends to oversimplify deeper elements of theology, relying on emotional pleas such as "living in your father's smile" to resonate with listeners.
