Three short stories by the Portuguese writer Eça de Queirós (A Lyric Poet, Perfection, José Matias). Translated to English by Christopher Lund - Probably because short stories, as a sub-genre, did not enjoy the same as the novel, Eça's short stories have not received in the past all the attention they deserve and remain frequently an unjustly unnoticed.
