About the Author

Linda Rodriguez's poetry has appeared in local and national publications such as The Kansas City Star, New Letters, Potpourri, Plainswoman, and Z Miscellaneous. She has a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and has also published numerous articles for general and scholarly publications. A freelance writer and editor, Rodriguez is currently working on a novel and a nonfiction book for women. She is the former director of the University of Missouri-Kansas City Women's Center and was a co-convenor of the Women and Environment Caucus at the United Nations international conference, Women 2000: Beijing Plus Five.
