Review:
When I saw the title, I laughed out loud because the world doesn't have much calm-ass leadership. This book delivers on the promise. Great ties to leading and classic research. People should read this book, calm their asses down, and start leading. --Dave Logan, Ph.D., Best-selling co-author of Tribal Leadership and The Three Laws of Performance; faculty member at USC's Marshall School of Business
I read Chapter 1 of Calm-Ass Leadership this morning. At 11:30, I saw a patient who was having problems very similar to what you described in your book. Just telling her to work as a team player and not to quash her own or her employee's ability to be in control when needed had an amazing effect. It negated the main emotional component that she initially came to see me about! Very impressing! Can't wait to finish it! Thank you! --Dr. V., DC; Scottsdale, Arizona
I really enjoyed this book, and I completely agree with this style of leadership. Showing people their strengths instead of their weaknesses makes a strong organization. --Frank Drayton, Deputy Fire Chief; Vacaville, CA
