Born and raised in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, Dr. Michael A. Obenski wanted to become a veterinarian at age 11. He accomplished it in 1972 by graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He previously earned a bachelor's degree in animal science from Pennsylvania State University. In 1978, Dr. Obenski opened the Allentown Clinic for Cats, where he still practices.
Dr. Obenski started penning DVM Newsmagazine's popular column "Where did I go wrong?" in 1976. He has contributed more than 340 columns. This book is a compilation of columns from the past decade.
Honored with the Alumni Award of Merit from the University of Pennsylvania, and the American Society of Business Press Editor's Award, he serves as key editorial adviser to DVM Newsmagazine. His contributions helped the publication place as a finalist in 2006 and 2007 for the coveted Jesse H. Neal Editorial Achievement Award, the highest honor for professional business magazines.
