Lelaina Pentheus is starting her second year at Troy University, and has decided to move on campus and away from home for the first time. Negotiating friends, classes, and crushes means that the shy sophomore will have to come of age and be her own person. But when her quirks begin to have unusual effects, Lelaina is forced to confront her unknown past. Characters once lost to ancient mythology pay her a visit, threatening to undo the chasm between gods and mortals, modernity and antiquity, and nearly destroying Lelaina in the process. And just when she started finally making friends.
This collected volume is the first time Chapters 1-3 of Gallagher's popular webcomic has been printed in color in a single edition.

Growing up in the Maryland suburbs, Monica Gallagher was exposed to plenty of comic strips, but never comic books until at 14, when she was handed a copy of Wendy Pini's ElfQuest. She wrote her first eighty-page comic book in high school after reading too much of Rumiko Takahashi's Ranma 1/2. During college, she created a webcomic called Gods & Undergrads, which has since developed into four print books and a full-color collected volume released in the summer of 2007. In 2002, she first exhibited at the Small Press Expo in Bethesda, MD, and ever since regularly exhibits there, at the Alternative Press Expo in San Francisco, and at the MoCCA Art Festival in New York.
She regularly updates her website with short story comics, weekly Gods & Undergrads updates, and artsy sketches. When she is not comicking or updating her blog, Monica bullies friends into having all-night conversations with her, plays loads of volleyball, drinks margaritas in the kooky Hampden neighborhood of Baltimore where she lives, and watches movies with her tiny terror of a cat.
