Synopsis
This children's book features the artist s whimsical collection of interpreted whales. Each illustration comes to life in the poetry of the artist. In these whale paintings you can find an entire village on the back of a whale, or a mermaid leading a dog circus, or a cowboy wailing his delight while riding a pinto whale. The illustrations are from the original brightly colored oil canvases of Theresa LaBreque. This hard cover collection of images and poetry is a perfect book for all mermaid and whale collectors - both young and old. The book contains scenes that children can relate to; holidays, play time, imaginary times, fun times. They depict innocence, a nicer slice of life. They are books that adults can purchase for children without concern for their content. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to The Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society.

About the Author
Theresa LaBrecque is known for her distinctive, whimsical sculptured mermaid art and oil on canvas. Theresa started her mermaid career sculpting in clay. For years, she only focused on the clay mermaids. She recently found additional expression in other mediums, such as oil on canvas and bronze. Theresa sees her world through mermaid eyes, interpreting everything into a mermaid. She decided to turn her art into books after receiving feedback from customers that purchased her art and from observing the reaction of the adults and children who visited her gallery. Her art always brought a smile to their faces. If there is mermaid madness, she has it! Theresa also has a great love for animals. She lives with her bull terrier Panda and two kittens on beautiful Cape Cod.
