Synopsis

Rumsfeld and Cheney Placed on the Hot Seats During a Satirical Trial From Hell
Fred Stopsky's humorous new book "Don Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney in Hell" grills two of Bush's key men on the Iraq War and the impact of their decisions as leaders.

What if former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and Vice President Dick Cheney's admission to heaven or condemnation to hell was determined by a sensational trial in the devil's own courtroom? This outrageously hilarious scenario is played out with the help of numerous influential "key witnesses" in Fred Stopsky's political satire "Don Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney in Hell".

The book reads as a dialogue of the hellish courtroom proceedings, where the devil - assisted by Enron's Ken Lay, no less - calls upon a host of witnesses to help determine whether Rumsfeld and Cheney will spend eternity in heaven or hell. This dynamic assembly of witnesses features powerful politicians, ordinary citizens and popular celebrities. Jon Stewart, Condoleezza Rice and Pat Tillman are among the many who impart insightful wisdom and cheeky quips during this most-unusual trial.

Stopsky was inspired to write "Don Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney in Hell" when he realized "the devil himself couldn't create more chaos and death than what is going on today in Iraq." In the book, Rumsfeld and Cheney are charged with lying about the causes for the war, and a Law and Order team uncovers the truth behind the infamous weapons of mass destruction.

"Don Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney in Hell" goes beyond the war in Iraq and also examines some of today's most important political and social issues. Stopsky's creative, sardonic criticism of the Bush administration deftly blends hard facts with comic relief for a read that's both informative and thoroughly entertaining.
