Synopsis

Billy is a young Black boy suffering along with his mother and siblings from an obsessive-compulsive fathers unrelenting abuse. With an overactive imagination, Billy often escapes from his chaotic environment into a world of conjured imagery where he envisions cleverly inventive ways to do away with his father. After a night of explosive violence when his mother is nearly killed, Billy's fantasies and colorful schemes suddenly begin to evolve into legitimate plans of opportunity to commit patricide.

Set in Gary Indiana during the early sixties and mid seventies, his experiences become both comical and poignant while he seeks the means and an accomplice to help him be rid of his abuser.

With the injustices of The Color Purple, the humorous wanting reflections of The Christmas Story, and the adolescent discovery of Cooley High, Billys fantasies and schemes collide with reality after an innocent boy is killed.

This true story of courage and survival culminates in philosophical questions of faith, hope, forgiveness, and redemption.
