Growing up in a religiously conservative part of East Tennessee I was taught that faith, religious beliefs, were accepted without questions. As I grew older I came to realize that any belief, accepted without question, can be dangerous. Following a government or a religion, in pursuit of security, without question is essentially giving away your freedom. I believe that religion, blindly followed, can lead to an awakening day when you realize that the joy of life has been stolen from you. In this novel, Zachery Robertson has a 'near death' experience and returned a profoundly changed man with a mission. His mission: To tell the world that "God is Love."

Clyde "Steve" Stephens was born and grew up in the mountains of East Tennessee. His desire to see new places and experience new people led him to the Orient, where he lived for a year, North Africa, and many of the European Countries. His travels permitted him to study the beliefs and religions of other cultures. His childhood spurned a hunger to understand religions and his travels allowed him to feed that hunger. His desire to help others led him to change careers in mid-life where he achieved a Bachelors degree in Nursing. He spent many years working with terminally ill patients in oncology and cancer research. He has authored and co-authored professional research articles for publication in medical and nursing journals. Steve currently manages a home health agency specializing in care for the elderly, and writes in his spare time.
