This book does a superb job in filling the gap for both. The poem Bubul Ka Bacha is a very famous poem that almost every Urdu speaking child knows by heart. - We love it! Our 5 year old daughter memorized this lovely rhyme going over this book and loved reading it over and over. My two year old loves following the little 'bulbul' in the book. Its thick cardboard pages make the book stand on the table and is easy to flip. The quality of illustration and print is top notch and mixes very well with all the other English children books we have.
