Haydn Griffith is a native of Barbados. It was here that he began studying languages, pursuing both French and Spanish for five years in secondary school. He moved to Pennsylvania in April 2000 and enrolled at Penn State in January 2001. He completed a B.S. in Finance and International Business in May 2005. As part of his International Business requirement he took a semester abroad in Barcelona in Spring 2004. It was during this semester that he not only strengthened his Spanish but also picked up Italian and German during his travels. In Fall 2005 he returned to Penn State to pursue his MBA. He graduated in May 2007 with a concentration in Corporate Financial Analysis and Planning. In July 2007, two unrelated conversations with a friend's father and an MBA colleague, both suggesting that he capitalize on his demonstrated affinity for picking up languages, led him to begin the journey of writing a guide to help others fulfill their dreams of learning another language. Nine months later his dream was realized as he officially completed the publishing of this book.
