Frederic B. Sargent (b. 1944) is a Pittsburgh-based businessman and former CEO of a nationally-ranked electrical construction firm and co-founder of a global network of electrical contracting firms. Today, he divides his duties between two ventures. He is founder and president of Great Service Forums, a one-of-a-kind program with dual objectives of fostering professional development of service managers and enabling joint-marketing opportunities for their companies. As well, he contributes to the ongoing presentation of Market-Driven Contracting, an entrepreneurship catalyst and seminar program to support International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers electricians in their ambition to start up their own contracting firms. In related activity, he co-authors a regular column with Virginia Tech Professor Andrew P. McCoy in the Service & Maintenance section of Electrical Contractor Magazine, recognized as the premier publication in its industry category. Now with nearly 50 years experience in the realm of business, with no intentions of stopping, he still gives ample credit to his formative management training at Harvard Business School (OPM2) and in the Republic of Vietnam as a combat platoon leader in the US Army's legendary 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, then under the command of Brigadier General George S. Patton, III.
