About the Author:
Brandon Pope has spent more than 20 years of his career providing financial advice for close to 100 of the nation's wealthiest high net-worth individuals, families, trusts, estates and foundations. Building and advising close to $1 billion in investment portfolio assets and total personal fortunes exceeding $3 billion, Brandon brings a unique perspective to spiritual investment planning, giving and wealth. Pope's groundbreaking book, Spiritual lessons from WALL STREET, introduces a set of investments that truly changed his life. In his book, Spiritual lessons from WALL STREET, Pope outlines the investments that create a Spiritual Portfolio: Deposits of Deeds, Service, Mission and Giving. In essence, a focus on what we have, rather than what we don't have. A focus on the needs of others, rather than ourselves. A recognition of what we have, as a blessing, rather than a curse. A renewed life centered on service and giving. Pope discovered that applying the principles he learned from advising wealth on Wall Street, and the inspired concepts within, to our lives can restore the joy, balance and contentment we are meant to have. From the mission fields of Mexico, to the high-rise buildings of Wall Street, to the comfort of his own living room -- Pope has battled with success, faith and greed to ultimately discover God's gifts to all of us: Time and Money. Pope's tenure began advising clients of the international accounting and consulting firms of KPMG & PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He currently advises clients with the premier Wall Street investment management firm Bernstein Global Wealth Management, a unit of AllianceBernstein L.P., whose combined assets total close to $500 billion. Pope received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and his Master of Accounting degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is truly a student of his profession, gathering the following designations and licenses: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner(tm) (CFP(R)), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU(R)). He has published several articles and is an active speaker on faith and financial planning topics and also serves on numerous charitable boards and foundations.
