About the Author

Ebbie C. Smith served fifteen years in Indonesia with the Foreign Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention and twenty-four years as professor of Christian Ethics and Missions at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In retirement, he continues to express interest in church multiplication. In this book Smith calls for the acceptance of simple churches, house churches, or as he prefers to call them, basic churches.
