The Get Wisdom! series was inspired by a conversation that author Natalie Weber had with her dad about how to help her children gain more from their Bible reading. She had unsuccessfully tried using another Proverbs-based study that invited participants to look up various verses and answer questions related to their meaning and application. He suggested that instead of using subjective questions, it is more effective to begin studying with objective questions that require a specific answer. This resonated with what Natalie was learning about the Classical model of education and the importance of the grammar stage of learning. In order to accurately understand and discuss matters we must have a solid basis of information from which to draw. All Bible study should begin with the question, "What does the verse actually say?" Thus, in Volume 1 of Get Wisdom!, students work their way through each chapter of Proverbs with catechism-style questions, uncovering vital truths and beautiful principles word-for-word!

About the Author

Natalie Weber has loved writing ever since she began scribbling poems and musings in a small journal at the age of seven. As her love for reading and studying the Bible grew, she found inspiration for more writing and began creating all sorts of teaching materials to use with her siblings, her piano students, and eventually her own children. Natalie has published two books, Pajama School and Born to Deliver, and enjoys running a piano studio and a music educator's blog at MusicMattersBlog.com where many of her teaching ideas and resources are available. She is blessed to married to the love of her life, Julian, and is grateful to be serving alongside him as they homeschool their four children.
