About the Author:
Ruth Gaston was born in Yonkers, N.Y. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications Arts from the Colleg of new Rochelle and an assoicate degree in Foodservice Administration Restaurant Management from Westchester community college. She is a member of the Domestic Violence Council Board in White Plains, New York and worked at a domestic violence shelter and now advocates for women.
