About the Author
After spending years as a landscape and irrigation contractor, Neil Johnson developed a landscape irrigation course in 1985 while working as an irrigation consultant in Dallas, Texas. The course was designed to help aspiring contractors pass the Texas Irrigator's Test. Over 90% of Mr. Johnson's students passed the test on their first try. Mr. Johnson's first book; 'Residential Landscape Irrigation' was published in 1987. followed by the first edition of 'Basic Landscape Irrigation', which was published in 1989. 'Basic Landscape Irrigation', a major revision of the earlier work, is the result of 3 years of intensive work. It is truly the definitive entry-level irrigation manual.
