About the Author

Mary Ann Keatley, PhD, CCC, is a speech-language pathologist and neurotherapist who has specialized in the treatment of traumatic brain injuries and other neurological conditions for more than 30 years. Her broad experience includes neurorehabilitation, research, and publications in the fields of speech-language pathology, rehabilitation, and outcomes. She is a Professional Speaker and gives presentations and training in the field of brain injuries and has a private practice in Boulder, Colorado. She is the co-founder of the Brain Injury Hope Foundation. Laura L. Whittemore has been in the field of psychology and education and an entrepreneur for more than 30 years. She sustained a TBI in 2001, caused by a horseback riding accident. Fortunately, she was wearing a helmet. Since her life-changing, wake up call, she has focused her gifts gained through her recovery process into writing, speaking, life coaching, and creating memory fitness programs. She is on the board of the Brain Injury Hope Foundation. Laura has two children and six grandchildren and lives, hikes, and skis in sunny Colorado.
