Tim Smith considers himself to be an average, regular guy. He is 6’ 4”, 220 pounds, and basically wears the same clothes and shoes he wore 20 years ago. He believes you don’t always have to be the best to accomplish something; you just have to do it. He believes you can accomplish a lot in your life. His philosophy is not to be afraid to use erasers because it is okay to make mistakes even if someone laughs at you. He believes you should just get out there and try it! Life is a lot longer than you think and life is a lot shorter than you think.

For the last twenty years BUCK WILDER, alias Tim Smith, has been writing children’s stories and has been giving fun motivational presentations about how much you can do with your life and how to attain above average results with the tools that are given to you. He was born in 1945, married, and father of three children. Tim graduated with a degree in microbiology, served in the US Army, worked in the pharmaceutical business for ten years and has worked and owned numerous retail businesses. Tim loves to cook, loves to eat, loves to fish, and loves to draw, write and create. He has fun with everything he does. Along with writing children’s books Tim travels across the country giving motivational talks. His humor has been likened to a mix of Will Rogers, Bill Cosby and Mark Twain. Who Stole the Animal Poop? is a fun book to read to a child. Kids get a kick out of it--just the title gets them giggling.There is an element of mystery to the story as Buck Wilder and his animal friends try to figure out who stole the animal poop, and WHY anyone would WANT to in the first place. I liked that there are signs and captions in many of the illustrations, which encourages children to look more closely at the pictures, and to read the messages in them. Later, children can search for hidden letters in those illustrations and put them together to decode a secret message. This paperback book is smaller and lighter than many books, which makes it easy for kids to handle and work with. To add a little more fun, this book features Flicker-Page Animation(tm). My son enjoyed flipping the pages to see the owl flying, but he was also aware of the owl's position as we turned each page, and he would keep me updated with comments like Oh, he's about to land; and He's almost on the branch. The real fun of the book is not the mystery itself but the rest of the content. That includes a great outdoor page which helps children learn to identify animals not only by their tracks, but by their You Guessed It. Other lessons about nature come naturally out of the story.
