Mark Johnson lives with his wife, Kami, who illustrated Frederick and Sand Castle, and their son in Minneapolis, MN where he works as a technical writer. While written primarily for children, Mark's books are distinctive for their simultaneous handling of social, political, and philosophical topics that can be appreciated by more mature audiences. He has two books previously published by Penelope Press. This is Mark and Kami's first book together.
