Synopsis

Creating and finishing goalscoring opportunities is the most challenging skill in soccer. You can have your team organized defensively and teach them how to build up and keep possession, but without the ability to convert those situations into scoring chances, you won t get the results you re looking for. Modern Attacking and Goalscoring includes more than 100 drills, exercises and small-sided games to train your players to create and finish more scoring opportunities. Each one includes a detailed diagram and a complete description. The descriptions contain the organization, coaching points as well as progressions that you can use to push your players to the next level. The 11 chapters will show you how to train your players to be successful in a wide variety of goalscoring situations. The chapters include: Running with the ball, Overlaps and Underlaps, 2v1 and 3v2 Games, Unopposed Finishing, Finishing from Rebounds, Crossing and Finishing, 1v1 Finishing, Finishing Games and More. Within each chapter there is also a progression that allows the players to move from simple movements without opposition to more complicated combinations that includes the pressure of an opponent.
