"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains un-awakened." -Anatole France. This quote says it all. Ginder DeLater photographs dogs because they create joy in his life. Whether he's shooting, designing a montage, or painting canvas for a custom mat, he can always find something to smile about. Dogs define what it means to live in the moment, and Ginder strives to be more like the dogs he meets-connected, fun, spontaneous, and passionate.

Animals have always played a big part in my life. I grew up on a small farm in Michigan and had dogs, a pony, lambs, and a pet pig named Peter Grunt. My first award at school was for a story I wrote about dogs. I became interested in photography while studying abroad during college. I began seriously studying photography in 1996 and went to photography school in 2001. Throughout this time, I always practiced photographing dogs because of the challenge they presented. I explored many areas of photography, but always came back to dogs. I exhibit at juried fine art shows across the country and shoot pet portraits nationwide.
