REAL Phonics is a method of teaching children to read by sounding out words in controlled vocabulary stories, using basic phonics rules.

What Is Included? Book 1 includes alphabet worksheets, writing practice pages, cut-out flash cards, 97 full-color illustrated stories and a Certificate of Achievement.

Syllabus: Children ages 4-7 learn to read simple stories by sounding out one-syllable words with the short vowels A, E, I, O, U, the consonants N, T, S, D, H, M, R, G, B, L, C, F and the diagraph TH. By the end of Book 1, your child will have learned to sound out and read 92 words based strictly upon the rules of phonics, plus an additional 4 sight words.
