About the Author
Peter N. Skinner, PE, Founder and Senior Designer, E2G Solar.
Peter is a solar thermal system installer, educator and consultant. A professional engineer in New York State, he has had 41 years of experience as an environmental science advocate at the New York Attorney General's Environmental Bureau and now is a solar thermal professional. He holds BS and MS degrees from Lehigh and RPI. He has focused his professional skills on building performance and now design and installation of residential and commercial solar thermal systems. In the last few years, he has designed and installed dozens of thermal systems in New York. Peter has served on the NABCEP committee that writes the national solar thermal installer certification test and teaches solar thermal courses at colleges, professional gatherings and conferences. He has also created curricula and instructs solar thermal installation and design courses, and designed SunDog's Solar Rover and Pup instructional devices to enhance the learning process.
