Synopsis
This is the third book in the kid author Hey Hey Series. The kid author explores the solar system through his charming and fun sense of thinking, reasoning and rhyming. He looks through a telescope to reveal the sky. He sees the moon and stars and asks them why they are bright. He then discovers the planets starting with the controversy planet, Pluto. His pages continue with Neptune, Uranus and Saturn while bringing a fun side to the solar system. Jupiter and Mars are the next pages. He confronts Jupiter about the red dot and asks Mars about a pet named Rover. He then tells Earth and Venus of what he knows about their characteristics. Mercury and the Sun are the last two pages of the book. He identifies Mercury as the morning and evening star. He does not forget about the Sun. He plays a game of peek-a-boo with the Sun to end his exploration of the solar system. He ends his evening by going to bed and inviting all his solar subjects for another day of thinking out loud about balloons.

About the Author
Jared Tinlin, the kid author, continues to add to his Hey Hey Series of books. He is now ten years old and still has a love of writing. Jared recieved news and media coverage about his books During Read Across America week the past two years. Jared's books encourage children not only to read but to write. The Albuquerque Public School Board recognized Jared's achievements and issued an Outstanding Achievement Award in 2010. During March of 2011, New Mexico Governor Susanna Martinez recognized Jared's book during a scheduled personal meeting in the New Mexico Governor's office. Late May of 2011, Jared also shared the author spot light at Carlos Rey Elementary's Author Day in Albuquerque with award winning children author, Carla Aragon. Jared is very proud of his title The Kid Author!He wants everyone, especially kids, to enjoy his books. Jared is currently working on his chapter book and hopes that he can finish the book by next year. Jared plans to illustrate his chapter book!
