From the Author

The writing of this book took an incredible 17 year journey of life and discovery. Janiece and I met in 1991 and were married in 1994. I met her just after the big miracle in her life and became a help in her continuing journey of healing towards wholeness. Upon hearing of our engagement, her mother had me promise to write her story, sadly she died 5 years before we published it. Sometimes, while I was writing it felt like she was watching me over my shoulder. Up until then, I had only written a short allegory at the time, so I knew a non-fiction biography was going to be a challenge, especially where it concerned close family relationships. So, I began the journey of gathering information and asking for wisdom on how to write it.

16 years later, I was ready to write and publish. We were so active in our church during the time, that I wasn't finding enough time to write, so after about a year of writing, we came up to Colorado Springs in order to finish it. Three weeks later, we were almost finished so we left back to San Antonio to put the finishing touches on it and published it.

Janiece's story is one that truly blows my mind at how the Lord chose someone in our generation, a Lazarus if you will, and pulled her out of such a deep pit and restored her. The doctors had given up all hope of restoration. Her story makes the scriptures in the Bible come alive in our generation as He tells the story through her life about what He longs to do for each of us. It is one of the greatest and miraculous stories I've ever heard and even more so as I've been a part of some of the journey. I've been told by others that once they pick it up to read, it is hard to put down until it's finished. Discover her journey and may it help you in yours.

About the Author

Joseph James grew up in a small town in South Central Texas, USA in the sixties. He says he was fortunate to grow up in the country, because it helped him overcome the absence of his father. His father left his mother at the age of three. Sometimes, he would walk for hours at a time as a child through the countryside in order to find peace and tranquility. He observed the animals in the wild and took note of how they lived and interacted. He also learned first hand about plants, farming, and ranching. It was during this time that He came to realize the Lord was real.

Later in life, he would meditate on these precious times to help encourage himself, especially when living in the large cities of San Antonio and Dallas. He now lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado with his wonderful wife and son where he can look out of the window every morning to the beautiful mountains and see the majesty of the Lord. He is a passionate writer, songwriter, singer, and artist. He loves to create things and write stories that can help encourage others. He also writes in his blog on his DestinyPathOfLife.com when he can. He understands what it is like to live in torn family relationships. During certain times in his life, he has had to lean totally on the Lord to help him make it through each day. He speaks, sings and writes directly from His relationship with the Lord and all of his experiences.
