About the Author

Dr. Tekemia Dorsey is the CEO of The Creative GRP., LLC based in Baltimore, Maryland. She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.; was named ALIVE MAGAZINE's 2011 "Woman of the Year" & a Finalist for Doreen Rainey's 2011 "Radical Woman of the Year" Award; was named one of the National Association of Women's on the Rise 2011 "10 Most Intriguing Women and received a Woman of POWER Award in January, 2011. She is the brainchild & visionary of the 2011 Youth Empowerment RETREAT in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Dorsey is celebrating The Year of the Youth in Baltimore & state of Maryland, as proclaimed by The Creative GRP, Mayor Rawlings-Blake & Governor O'Malley. Dr. Dorsey received her Doctoral of Management degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix in 2006 and a Master's of Education with a concentration in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) in 1997. In 1995, Dr. Dorsey received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Criminal Justice from UMES as well.
