From the Back Cover:
Gale Maag's memories of Jack Dale are a unique blend of excitement under Friday night lights mixed with remarkable drama played out behind the scenes of Paragould High School football in the 1950s.  Gale takes the reader along with him into the locker room, out to the playing field, and on to shadowy areas beyond the stadium lights. Some of his first-hand accounts of playing under the watchful eye of Coach Jack Dale will make you laugh out loud. I guarantee it.  But at the end of the day, Gale's extraordinarily close bond with his old ball coach will touch your heart. -- Dale Hanks, Author of "Coaches"

Coach Jack Dale was one of the ultimate paradoxes... This book touches upon the highlights and significant events of his life.  It gives you an understanding insight into a man that we all knew, but never really got to know.  Jack Dale was an enigma wrapped in a mystery, but this memoir will give you an in-depth view of his journey and the key milestones of his life, which shaped and created the man we all knew as - Coach. -- Dale Foresythe '59
About the Author:
Gale Maag still resides in his hometown of Paragould, Arkansas along with the love of his life, Peggy (Boyd) Maag; they have four children and six grandchildren.  Both enjoy traveling to visit with friends and family and do so several times annually.  An avid golfer, fisherman and hunter Gale also enjoys watching the grandchildren participate in all sports.  The Arkansas Razorbacks remain of keen interest to both Gale and Peggy as they follow their progress in whatever sport is in season.  Baseball has always been Gale's favorite sport and the St. Louis Cardinals his choice of professional baseball teams. This is Gale's first attempt at a book of memoirs and already has a second memoir of his early childhood days in progress.   He is and always will be proud to be one of "Jack's Boys."
