Matt Sinclair is a New York City-based journalist covering philanthropy and charity, primarily in the United States, a field he has covered since the mid-1990s. He has also written for magazines, newspapers, Websites, reference books, and film on a broad range of topics, including arts and culture, sports (primarily baseball), business, education, health and health care, parenting, and politics. He served as a senior fellow of the Third Sector for the Fourth Estate, a Knight Foundation-funded program that trained journalists about covering the business of the U.S. nonprofit sector. He is also an actively riding NJ-certified Emergency Medical Technician with more than twenty-five years of service.
