About the Author

Steve LaNore holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Texas A&M University.

He is a 9-time award-winning broadcaster with nearly three decades of television experience.

LaNore is an AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist and has completed the National Weather service advanced Skywarn training program.

Steve says, "I love to watch kids learn.  Over the years I have observed that humor makes a great gateway for science learning".

He lives in a small community north of Dallas with his wife Gera. He is a self-described weather "nerd", but his interests cover a wide range from writing, music, art, history and philosophy,  to all things science...and even a good game of poker now and then.
