Susan Hodgkins graduated from University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She began teaching English at Taejon Junior College and at a school for researchers, businesspersons, housewives, and college and high school students in South Korea. She was later invited to teach a summer course at Hannam University to Korean elementary school teachers on how to teach English. In the United States, she has taught SAT II Writing and Literature; SAT Math, Critical Reading, and Writing; and ACT Math, Reading, Writing, and Science both one-on-one and in small classes since 1995. She has also assisted students with the college application and essay writing process. Her students have gone on to attend a variety of different schools including Harvard, Dartmouth College, Northwestern University, University of Pennsylvania, University of Chicago, Wellesley College, Barnard, Bard, NYU, USC, UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, Georgetown University, University of the Pacific Accelerated Dental Program, McGill University, American University, and Boston University.
