Synopsis

The Hunted is a supernatural fiction exploring the vampire genre with added elements containing magic and fur-backed creatures of blood gorging habits. The novel explores a strong, female heroin; sassy and genuine, encumbered by a severe problem with authority. Supporting characters are complimentary, humorous and with individual agendas that expand the story’s base into an exciting, horror-filled spectrum all softened with a hint of romance.

About this title

About the Author

Kristy Berridge: writer, sometimes comedian, peanut butter addict, exercise junkie, vegan ... woman.

There are many labels I go by, but not one can ever define me. Like all things in life, sometimes I commit 100% and other times I apply varying percentages to the effort and enthusiasm adopted.

To be a writer you must have passion and I have bucketloads, but I am human and sometimes I'd rather go cow-tipping or rob a seven-eleven than immerse myself in the written word.

The trick is to find balance. Between my love of keeping fit; outrunning my boyfriend to claim the television remote before being subjected to British drama and my clean eating lifestyle; washing the plates before eating off of them, I sit down to write with a clear conscience.

Romance and horror are my general persuasions these days; not becuase my life is lacking, but who doesn't love a bit of blood and guts with a side of lip-locking? I've been drawn to both genres, even combining them more often than not.

The next stage in my journey is as unknown as the next paragraph in my forthcoming novels. It's better to live in the present, celebrate the small victories and of course, apply pen to paper whenever the inspiration may strike; a moto to live by.

From the Back Cover

Elena Manory has never been able to define herself as ordinary. Born to become a vampire on her eighteenth birthday and surrounded by a family of magic wielders, she's always known she was different from other girls her age. But when William Granville enters her life, a vampire with magnetic charm and sexual charisma not to be ignored, she starts to question her family's loyalty and secrets denied since birth.

Events soon spiral out of control and Elena is forced to further question her origins, William's intentions and fight to save herself from a common deadly foe with an agenda as sinister as the Institute of Magical Intervention. Will William be the one to save the girl he's searched eternity to find or will Elena have to step in and give fate a helping hand?
