About the Author

Attended Fort Street GHS in Sydney (Australia) throughout the 60s to become a graduate of Balmain Teacher's College & an educator of youngsters in the city's western suburbs. After then nurturing two sons and donkeys on the far north coast of NSW (alongside hundreds of young girls & women during a successful career as a physical culture instructress), beyond gaining a BA (Hons) in Creative Writing at Southern Cross University (Lismore NSW) in 2009, creative/non-fiction & auto/biographical publications by the author include 'Dreaming of More than Foxtails', 'impressions on a QWERTY keyboard' & 'What Next? The Suffering Hopes of a Thursday's Child.' Now 'Smacked Out' becomes Heggen's fourth work.
