Synopsis

You will find this book thorough and well researched encompassing many authors and figures who have contributed to the issue of reincarnation including Edgar Cayce, an American clairvoyant known as "The sleeping prophet" and "America's Greatest Mystic." I was intrigued by Cayce from the time I first heard about him more than fifty years ago. I have always been moved by his statement: "An error we refuse to correct has many lives. It takes courage to face one's own shortcomings and wisdom to do something about them."

You will be impressed with the breadth and depth of Frank's research on reincarnation that covers many centuries up to the present. I was particularly intrigued that Frank knew of my psychiatric colleague Dr. Brian Weiss who has explored and written about past life regression using hypnosis to recover from his patients their memories from past lives or incarnations. I have heard Brian speak about how his past-life therapy with a young patient changed his life as well as hers. Brian was graduated, Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude, from Columbia University and from Yale Medical School. Dr. Weiss has written: "If you rely exclusively on the advice of others, you may make terrible mistakes. Come from the heart, the true heart, not the head."

I recommend and encourage you to read this extraordinary book and give yourself time to contemplate what my friend, fraternity brother, and medical colleague Franklin Hook has to teach us about reincarnation. Wisdom requires experience and the time to learn from our mistakes, especially from believing we have all the answers.
