About the Author:

Mary Ann Kerr was born fifth of five children. Her mother was deaf and her father, due to an accident, was hearing impaired. Orphaned at aged seven, she lived with an aunt for eight years. Her aunt died unexpectedly, and she finished high school living in the home of the pastor of her church. Mary now resides in Washington State with her husband, Philip, a retired United States Air Force officer. Living in various parts of the US, Canada, Germany, and Denmark, her travels have flavored much of her writing. Besides writing Christian historical fiction, Mary, a retired teacher, writes poetry, speaks at book clubs, women's retreats, and luncheons. What has been a great surprise is that she is finding men are also enjoying her stories. She and her husband have four sons and twelve grandchildren. She laughs when she says ten of them are girls.
