About the Author

Jim Coogan is the author of eleven books about Cape Cod, including four for children. This is his first novel. A retired high school teacher, and a former columnist for the Cape Cod Times daily newspaper, Coogan is a graduate of Boston College with a degree in history. He taught that subject for almost thirty years at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School on Cape Cod. In 2004, his book Sail Away Ladies received the U.S. Maritime Literature Award for best work by an independent publisher. Sears Point was recently awarded Honorable Mention in the general fiction category by the 2016 New England Book Festival Awards. Jim Coogan lives in Sandwich, Massachusetts on Cape Cod.
