From the Author

It is very exciting to publish my career guide, Your Crystal Clear Career Path featuring new, powerful and non-traditional insights into "finding rewarding work, not just a job".

Producing my first novel last year after eight years of writing was a rich experience for myself, and hopefully my readers.

Publishing this career book is, however, more meaningful to me as it contains and reflects my true beliefs regarding the critical work and process required to create and enjoy a rich and rewarding career.

I sincerely hope it provides you and others that you may give it to, new and important tools and methods to get the right job and build the right career for you.

Good luck. And feel free to contact me with questions you may have.

About the Author

Peter Engler grew up in a New Jersey suburb where his father's friends included advertising executives and pilots. He especially liked these men because they laughed a lot and seemed to enjoy their lives more than other men. Graduating from Bucknell University with a degree in English Literature, Engler joined the Navy and became a decorated reconnaissance pilot in Vietnam. He returned to New York in 1972 to pursue his second dream of an advertising career.

After three months knocking on New York City ad agency doors in 1972, Engler was hired as an account executive on a cat food brand that nobody else would work on.In 1977, Engler moved his wife and three small sons to Silicon Valley. After getting a taste of high-tech marketing at Ampex, Engler was hired by the largest ad agency on the west coast, Foote Cone & Belding in San Francisco, to lead their exciting high-tech advertising accounts.

Senior management assignments running the Clorox, Sony, Sprint, Iomega, and other high-profile accounts followed with moves to J. Walter Thompson, his own agency and then back to New York as VP Marketing for Citibank's retail financial services.

He returned west in 1980, rejoined FCB/San Francisco, and then became a Partner at LGES, a senior executive recruiting firm,

Now, an executive coach working with executives of all ages around the country "find rewarding work, not just a job", Engler has found time to complete his first novel as well as producing a comprehensive career guide, Your Crystal Clear Career Path, featuring new, smart and non-traditional insights into "finding rewarding work, not just a job".

He and his wife enjoy living in Belvedere, California where their five children and nine grand-children often visit. Engler is an avid sailor and reader. He enjoys classic cars and is also teaching himself to paint and play the bass guitar with reasonable results
