About the Author
Carol de Giere previously wrote the Stephen Schwartz biography "Defying Gravity: The Creative Career of Stephen Schwartz, from Godspell to Wicked." She is the editor of two online newsletters: "The Schwartz Scene" and "Musical Writerzine." She is a fan of "Godspell" and other musicals and holds master’s degrees in library science and professional writing.

With her refreshingly readable prose and loving attention to detail, she brings readers along as the show grows from a college workshop, to an Off-Broadway success--and finally a worldwide phenomenon...Anyone who loves musicals will enjoy seeing how Godspell came to be.
